Stark, Jim
From: Stark, Jim
Sent: 12 May, 2009 09:20
To: Talvitie, Marcia
Cc: Brown, Sandy
Subject: RE: Elk Creek Mine MR-88 Request for Assistance
Attachments: Elk Creek Minor Revision 88 RCE.pdf
Marcia,
I have attached'a pdf copy of the Elk Creek MR-88 cost estimate. It is two tasks (a summary sheet and task 201) and
represents an increase in liability of $7,646.00. The estimate includes a cost for sealing the three new utility boreholes
as well as a credit for not drilling (or needing to seal) the three previously permitted utility boreholes. Please let me
know if you have any questions regarding this estimate.
From: Talvitie, Marcia
Sent: 11 May, 2009 16:36
To: Stark, Jim
Cc: Brown, Sandy
Subject: Elk Creek Mine MR-88 Request for Assistance
Hi Jim,
On Friday, May 8th, the Division received an application from OMLLC for MR-88. This revision will modify the three utility
boreholes proposed under TR-60 (Bear Creek Fansite). A copy of the application has been received by the Denver office.
The design has been changed from three 6" ID boreholes to two 7" holes and one 18" hole. This change may result in an
increase to the reclamation cost estimate for the Elk Creek Mine. The Division likely holds sufficient bond already to
accommodate any increase.
I would like to request your assistance in providing an estimate of the reclamation cost increase for MR-88. The
application has been determined Complete for purposes of filing today. If possible, I would like to request your review
during this week (I will be in the field next week for inspections).
Please let me know if there are any questions (or, alternatively, if doing a cost estimate is unnecessary for this MR).
Thanks!
Marcia
Marcia L.
