This revision is to complete eight (8)
geotechnical and soil sample boreholes (and possibly two additional, optional holes) to obtain data that will be
analyzed and utilized in the design of the future East Refuse Pile Expansion (East RPE) area. A piezometer or
an inclinometer will be installed in each of the boreholes to provide groundwater and further geotechnical over
a period of time.
As described in the attached memo and shown on the attached photo/snap, access to the proposed East RPE area
boreholes will be by existing roads and trails to the maximum extent possible. Approximately 1,330 feet of
new, temporary access may need to be constructed if an all-terrain boring rig is not available for this project.
MCC anticipates that this project will be completed within three weeks, including reclamation, and depending
on good weather and ground conditions. Attached are the revision form, project description and photo/map.
MCC would appreciate the Division's assistance in providing reclamation estimates and associated bond
readjustment calculations for this project. Please contact me at (970)929-2238 or by e-mail should you have
questions regarding this submittal.
Sincerely,
&kZ01-
Kathieen G.
