Sherman <br />Executive Director <br />Ronald W. Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />Coors Energy Company has applied for a bond release at the Keenesburg Strip Mine. The bond release <br />application was found complete by this Division on May 8, 2009. Coors Energy Company is <br />requesting Phase III Bond release 165.29 acres of reclaimed area within the Keenesburg mine permit. <br />The requested areas consist of parcels 1, 3, 4, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, and 28. <br />Reclamation work for these parcels was conducted between 1985 and 1997. The surface ownership is <br />Private, and the coal mined was State and private. <br />We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon <br />as it has been scheduled.
