Permittees who have been covered under the previous general permit and <br />reapplied in a timely manner will automatically be covered under this renewal general permit without lapse in permit coverage. <br />Permit fees previously paid will also automatically be transferred to this renewal general permit. Permittees will need to comply <br />with the terms and conditions of the new permit beginning July 1, 2008. In the interim, the permittee shall comply with the terms <br />and conditions set in the previous certification. As before, only discharges to surface waters of the State are covered. The Colorado <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) has authority over discharges to ground water from sand and gravel mining <br />and processing operations. <br />icre have been several changes to the permit. Avg: 1.5 MGD <br />Effluent Parameters <br />The discharges will flow to Little Dry Creek within Segment 3a of the Middle South Platte River Sub-basin, South Platte River <br />Basin. This segment is found in the Classifications and Numeric Standards for the South Platte River Basin (Regulation No. 38; last <br />update effective March 1, 2008). Segment 3a is designated as Use Protected and is classified for the following beneficial uses: <br />Aquatic Life, Class 2 (Warm); Recreation, Class la; and Agriculture. <br />If power is not available, flow may be measured on an instantaneous basis.
