D.) Problem #3; Revegetation: Tamarisk Trees have volunteered into the site and are spreading <br />throughout the affected area. <br />a. The operator had informed the Division that he was in contact with Las Animas County <br />preparing a plan to deal with the tamarisk trees. As mentioned above the operator was <br />required to submit an amendment application, the Division requested that the operator <br />incorporate a weed management plan into the Reclamation Plan for the amendment <br />application. <br />At this time, the operator is required to submit an Amendment application by May 7`h, 2009. No other <br />problems were observed during the inspection. <br />Figure 1.) Picture from north west corner of the affected area looking south. Water is still collecting at the <br />base of the pit and Tamarisk trees are still in place.
