Dan Miller from my office would like to meet with you
to discuss the reclamation requirements for the LaFarge site. If you and he (and I can join if you'd like) can meet in the
next couple of weeks that would be great.
>>> Dan Miller 4/28/2009 1:46 PM >>>
Hey, Chryl, as you know, I represent the Natural Resource Trustees. We would like information on reclamation
requirements applicable to the LaFarge Bluestone permit. This permit is located on Rocky Flats. We will be acquiring
the mineral estate underlying a part of this permit (see attached aerial photo/map -- we're acquiring the area outlined in
blue) from the Spicer family. They have a lease with LaFarge. We're curious to know the reclamation cost for the
mined/disturbed area shown on the photo. Also to better understand the reclamation requirements as they apply to this
parcel.
We're having a meeting of our trustee council in 2 or 3 weeks. If it's possible to meet with someone from minded land
to discuss these matters before then, that would be great.
Dan Miller N,;
Senior Assistant Attorney General
Natural Resources a and Enviro ent Section
Colorado Department of Law
1525 Sherman St., 7th floor
Denver, CO 80203
(303)866-5014 (t)
(303)866-3558 (f)
dan. miller@state.co. us
