<br />he operator of the New Elk Mine, Permit number C-81-012, is filing for
<br />ethnical revision to the New Elk Permit with the State of Colorado, Divi
<br />sion of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. For filing purposes, this applica
<br />ion was deemed complete by the- Diviston on-February 11 2009. Perri
<br />7-81 -012 renewal was approved by the Division on July 12,2004.
<br />The New Elk Mine is located approximately 7 miles west of Weston
<br />;olorado on State Hwy. 12, within Sections 13,14,21,22,23,24,25,26,2
<br />and 28, TS33S, R68W. These sections can be located on the USGS 7
<br />ninute Vigil and Weston quadrangle maps. A total of 141 acres of sur
<br />are disturbance from mining related activity is covered by a Utter o
<br />Iredit Bond in the amount of $2,744,969.
<br />-he technical revision restores me Apache Canyon airshafts and the un
<br />lerground ventilation corridor connecting these airshafts to the New Eli
<br />Aine permit area. This increases the permit area to 1,583 acres (an in
<br />:rease of 686 acres).

<br />;ounty Coin-mouse, Office of County Recorder and with the Division o
<br />Ainerals and Geology, Any written comments, objections or requests fo
<br />public hearing or informal conference regarding this bond release ap
<br />dication must be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology
