This TR provides for the addition of gob vent boreholes to <br />the mine plan for two north panels LW-15 and LW-16. <br />To aid in the ventilation of hazardous mine gases, additional gob vent boreholes will need to be <br />installed in the north panels LW-15 and LW-16. The additional sites are shown on the attached <br />Drawing 2.05-MI, Sheet 6 of 6, "General Facilities, Gob Vent Boreholes." In addition we are <br />submitting revised PAP pages 2.05-50a and Exhibit 2.04-E3, Item 9 - Methane Drainage Well <br />Information. <br />OMLLC has previously permitted gob vent borehole programs (TR 46, 48, 53, 54 and 56). The <br />subject of this TR is a 1 year plan where drill pads, associated temporary, light use roads and up <br />to 23 mine ventilation boreholes will be installed, fitted with pumps for mine ventilation, and <br />eventually reclaimed. Mining into this north district will eventually involve some of the deepest <br />overall overburden depth (up to possibly 2,800') and Oxbow is taking particular care to make <br />sure adequate ventilation boreholes are installed to provide for miner safety. <br />Site Construction, Operation and Reclamation <br />The project will be very similar to that which had previously taken place for current borehole <br />sites. Overall, the sites will be accessed via the pre-existing Bear Creek canyon ranch road. <br />New road segments will be constructed using sidecast construction techniques, cutting and filling <br />as needed to achieve a typical road width of about 10 - 16 feet. <br />0 Page 1
