Extent of current disturbances.
There were no disturbances in 2008.
2. Reclamation accomplished to date and during preceding year.
The reclaimed end use for the area under the mining permit is water storage. The reclamation
- accomplished-to-date revolved -around-the-c-onstruction-of-the-slurry wall-(completed-in-20Q2-)-
and inlet and outlet facilities needed to operate the storage facility (completed in 2005). After meeting this standard for lined reservoirs,
Greeley initiated and substantially completed the inlet and outlet facilities for the storage facility
in 2004. Greeley began removal of tamarisk from the side slopes in 2005.
3. New disturbances anticipated to occur during upcoming year.
LaFarge completed mining the berm between the lakes in 2004 and opted to discontinue
removing material below the present bottom of the existing lake(s). The disturbed slopes were
reclaimed per the Reclamation Plan. The potential for reclaiming the remaining material within
the next 1-2 years is currently being evaluated.
