Based on the current site conditions and the tasks used
to calculate the bond it is apparent that the bond is sufficient to reclaim the site. All reclamation tasks completed
should be noted on the next annual report to the Division.
The inspector discussed with Mr. Knox the idea of doing a partial acreage reduction if the far west and east areas are
not to be mined. Since the areas are undisturbed they can be removed from the overall permit acreage. The
drawback is that should mining be contemplated in the future it would require an amendment to re add the acreage
back into the permit.
No issues or problems are noted at this time.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Russ Means at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone no.
970-241-1117.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Dan Knox
OPERATOR: Lafarge Aggregates
STREET: 3794 County Road 109
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
cc:
?
