Appendix A. <br />Following is a Table of Reference Points (waypoints) with corresponding UTMs as located by <br />handheld GPS unit, with background radiation, a description of site, and a list of photographs of <br />the sites if available. The reference points are shown on the 11 x 17 inch topographic and <br />photographic base maps for location. The survey was conducted to establish the general <br />background radiation in the area which has been previously mined for vanadium and uranium. <br />The Garmin GPS units are generally accurate to within about 20 to 25 feet (6 to 8 meters), but <br />the recent aerial photographs facilitate a much closer location. The scintillometers used were <br />Radiation Specialists model Super Spec RS 125 assay grade meters, although only total gamma <br />counts were recorded. <br />Nuvemco, LLC had low-level color aerial photography shot over their entire claim block on the <br />Monogram, Davis, Wild Steer and Skein mesas to document the vast array of existing roads and <br />trails left by previous mining efforts and kept barren by recreational four-wheelers, ATV <br />travelers, hunters, and campers. The mesas have several maintained Montrose County Roads in <br />addition to BLM access roads. As seen in the aerial and local photographs, much of the <br />landscape is barren outcrops of sandstones of the Salt Wash member of the Morrison Formation, <br />pockmarked with drilling, exploration and mining efforts. <br />Table and photographs follow.
