January 11,2008
CERTIFIED LETTER, RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED
Mr. Dan Mathews JAN 14 2008
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety GRAND jutq, ju;v ,•;tip OFFICE
103 South 3`d, Suite 301 DIVISION OF
Grand Junction, CO 81501 RECLAMATION MINING 8 SAFM
Dear Mr. Mathews;
This is a letter per your request during our phone conversation on Jan. 2, 2008
The Nucla paper published a notice from the Western Fuels Mining Company with a request to the Division
of Reclamation for a change in the requirements for reclamation of property that they have strip mined. This
request may not apply to our property at the present time, but•we are concerned that itnay in the future.
The legal description of the property we own is as follows: WI/2 of SEI/4 of Sec 36, T47N, R16W
NMPM.
We want to be able to flood irrigate our property once reclamation has been completed. We have adequate
water, 24 shares, from the Colorado Cooperative Company. This is what we were told they would do when
we leased the property to Western Fuel.
Also, we would ask that if there are any future.requests by Western Fuel for changes in reclamation
requirements, that the State of Colorado would require Western Fuel to inform us by certified mail of the
changes requested prior to submitting a request to the State of Colorado.
Thank you for considering our request.
Res ctfully; e.
Harry C.
