DRMS met with Gordon
Lambert and Betty Green of Logan County and traveled with them to the site. The required site entrance
postings and site boundary markers were present.
The site is currently being used as a county sand and gravel pit and appeared to be well run, maintained, and in
full compliance at the time of inspection. No bond is required for this site as it is a county government operated
pit.
New boundary markers will have to be placed to define the expanded boundaries of the pit when the conversion
from 110 to 112 is made. Several new wind generators were observed to be in the area of the pit. These should
be added to maps of the area where appropriate, and care should be taken to keep mining operations at least
200' from these structures unless a damage compensation agreement is obtained with the generator owners and
provided to the Division.
I & E Contact Address
Kris Pennington
Logan County Planning Coordinator
315 Main Street
Sterling, CO 80751
