Non-Tributary Support: Cash Mine Borehole AdrianBrown
theoretically the extraction of 17.0 acre feet per year from the aquifer would be required for the
drawdown cone to extend to the nearest groundwater supply well.
2. Prevention of Impact to Other Vested Water Rights. If the water extracted from the dewatering
well meets the requirements to be non-tributary under the Statewide Nontributary Ground Water
Rules, then by definition its extraction cannot cause impact to other vested water rights. The
extraction flow from the Cash Mine Borehole that meets the requirements of these rules
(although dewatering is exempted) is computed in Section 4.4.2 above to be 29.7 acre feet per
year.
Accordingly, in the event that the State Engineer finds that the proposed dewatering will cause material
injury to the vested water rights of others, the applicant proposes that the permit shall require that the
dewatering extraction from the Cash Mine Borehole shall not exceed 17.0 acre feet in any year.
The permit application proposes 17.0 acre feet as the "Annual amount to be withdrawn".
1601A-20070125 16
