CashMineWaterMonitoring AddanBrown
1
3.4 Monitoring
3.4.1 Frequency
The Cash Mine groundwater system shall be monitored on a quarterly basis, by extracting a groundwater
sample from each of the monitoring wells. MRV reserves the option to petition DBMS to revise the
monitoring frequency at a later date if conditions warrant.
3.4.2 Sampling
The monitor wells shall be sampled as set forth in SOP06 - Groundwater Sampling. In the case of the
Cash Mine Borehole, the well volume shall be computed as the volume contained in the wellbore
between the total depth of 522 feet to the current depth to water, at a rate of 0.47 gallons per foot.
Produced water shall be discharged to the ground surface, a minimum of 20 feet distance from the well.
Field parameters for the groundwater samples shall be measured as specified in SOPI 1- Measuring Field
Water Parameters. Groundwater samples shall be preserved and transferred to the laboratory as
described in SOP03 - Sample Custody, Handling, Packing, and Shipping. The samples shall be analyzed
at the laboratory for the parameters set forth in Table 1.
6
1601A-20061106
