(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-2000-103
INSPECTION DATE 3/31/09 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS RCO
OBSERVATIONS
This partial inspection was performed by the Division as part of its monitoring of Construction Materials 110c permits and to
verify the corrective actions and final reclamation being carried out. The operator was not present during the inspection and
there was no activity at the time of the inspection.
The operator is in final reclamation and is no longer importing materials or processing at the site. All of the topsoil material and
most of the constituents have been removed from the site. There are still about 100 cu yds of woody debris and about 50 cu
yds of pitrun stockpiled on the pad. All processing equipment has been removed. There is no evidence now of noxious weeds.
To reduce the slope gradient of the highwall, the toe of the slope is being backfilled. There is a ramp road up to the top of
backfilled material, and a small dozer on the site, presumably used to place and compact the material. It is estimated that
about 3 or 4 times the amount of placed material is still needed so that the slope reaches the approved reclamation gradient.
After such backfilling and grading is complete, the disturbed area must be revegetated according to the approved plan.
All reclamation tasks are occurring within the boundaries. The bond appears to be sufficient to finish reclamation of the site.
Final reclamation is anticipated to be completed in 2009.
When the operator considers the reclamation to be comleted, release may be requested by submitting a release request to this
office, by following the steps described in Construction Materials Rule 4.16. Please contact this office if there are questions.
No further items were observed during the inspection. Responses to this inspection report should be directed to the Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 691 County Road 233, Room A-2, Durango, Colorado 81301, Attn: Bob Oswald; phone no.
970-247-5193.
