<br />Nineteen Technical Revisions (TRs)
<br />• TR-43, approved on October 10, 2003, added the II West Coal Refuse Facility, which succeeded
<br />the West Valley Coal Refuse Facility.
<br />• TR-44, approved on November 21, 2003, added Petroleum Storage and an Equipment Wash Bay
<br />to the Elk Creek facilities.
<br />• TR-45, approved on March 17, 2004, updated miscellaneous information regarding hydrology,
<br />adjacent ownership, contact person, and other permitting data.
<br />• TR-46, approved July 6, 2004, added four new Gob Vent Boreholes, including the construction
<br />of light use roads and pad sites.
<br />• TR-47, approved October 8, 2004, allowed the transfer of underground mine sump water from
<br />the active Elk Creek Mine D-Seam workings down to the former Somerset Mine C-Seam mine
<br />workings for permanent storage.
<br />• TR-48, approved November 3, 2004, added one new Methane Vent Borehole and associated light
<br />use road.
<br />• TR-49, approved on March 1, 2005, added the Hubbard Creek Fansite facility, including fan,
<br />borehole, substation, and sedimentation Pond F.
<br />• TR-50, approved on June 30, 2005, updated the Mine Plan map, incorporated as-built drawings
<br />for the mine water transfer, and updated various environmental permits.
<br />• TR-51, approved September 16, 2005, allowed the construction of two new boreholes at the
<br />Hubbard Creek Fansite for the purpose of pumping accumulated mine water from the D-Seam
<br />workings into the abandoned B-Seam workings.
<br />• TR-52, approved July 21, 2005, incorporated the Hubbard Creek Fansite as-built drawings into
<br />the permit.
<br />•- TR-53, approved September 30, 2005, added fifteen new Methane Vent Boreholes, pads and
<br />associated light use roads.
<br />• TR-54, approved on June 9, 2006, added eleven new Methane Vent Boreholes, pads and
<br />associated light use roads.
<br />• TR-55, approved on May 14, 2007, provided for an Elk Creek Mine Plan change associated with
<br />a 190.67-acre modification to Federal Coal Lease COC 61357.
<br />• TR-56, approved on June 29, 2007, added four new Methane Vent Boreholes, pads and
<br />associated light use roads.
<br />• TR-57, approved on July 26, 2007, added two Methane Vent Boreholes, pads and associated
<br />light use roads.
<br />• TR-58, approved on March 11, 2008, added two new Methane Vent Boreholes, pads and
<br />associated light use roads.
<br />• TR-59, approved on December 10, 2008, provided for a mine plan change to add additional coal
<br />reserves (148 acres) contained in the Tract #4 modification to Federal Coal Lease C-61357. The
<br />148-acre increase in affected area resulted in an increase of 249.08 acres to the permit area,
<br />• TR-60, approved January 7, 2009, added the Bear Creek Fansite Facility, which includes a fan
<br />shaft (raised borehole development); fan assembly (relocated from the Substation No. 3 site); and
<br />a substation (relocated from the Hubbard Creek Facility).
