Sherman
/ Executive Director
FROM: Wally Erickson Ronald W. Cattany
/i Division Director

RE: Acceptance of Reclamation Cost Estimation Provided by Applicant. Natural Resource Trustee
On April 7, 2009, the Division accepted the reclamation cost estimation, provided by the Applicant
and totaling $18,200, for the WSG-Hribar Pit application. The Division's determination to accept
the Applicant's cost estimation was based upon the following factors:
1. The Applicant's cost estimation, totaling $18,200, addressed the point of maximum
disturbance, as required under Rule 6.3.4(2). The cost of reclamation associated with the point of
maximum disturbance appeared significantly greater that the amount of financial warranty the
Division could require under Rule 4.2.1(4).
2. On March 26, 2009 the DSL service to the Durango Field Office was terminated. Durango
staff access to the reclamation cost estimation software is provided through the DSL service. As
of April 7th DSL service had not been restored.
Office of
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
