The required fee of $257 for the renewal of this substitute water supply plan has been
submitted (receipt no. 3637348). The original plan was approved on August 13, 2003 and it was
most recently renewed on August 22, 2006.
Plan Operation
This plan seeks to replace depletions resulting from mining operation at the Two Rivers
Rock gravel pit, operated by Western Equipment & Truck, Inc. ("WETCO"). The mined material
from the site will be used during the construction of a development on adjacent property owned
by WETCO. The depletions that result from the mining operation during this SWSP period are
evaporation from the exposed ground water at the site.
The proposed replacement source is fully consumable water leased from the Town of
Milliken ("Milliken").
Depletions
The anticipated net depletion during the term of this plan is 3.91 acre-feet of evaporative loss
(based on a maximum surface area exposed at the site of 1.5 acres and a net evaporation rate of
2.6 acre-feet per acre). No dewatering is provided or sought under this plan and no phreatophyte
credit has been applied to this plan. If dewatering will occur, the Applicant is required to provide the
details of dewatering and amend this plan to account for lagged depletions from dewatering.
4py
Office of the State En
gineer
1313 Sherman Street, Suite 818 • Denver, CO 80203 • Phone: 303-866-3581 • Fax: 303-866-3589
www.water.state.co.us
March 27, 2009
