Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has determined that the reclamation
bond reduction component of Minor Revision No. 97 can not be approved through a minor revision since
Rule 3.02.2(5) requires a technical revision for bond reductions. Therefore, the Division can only do a
partial approval for MR-97 for the construction of the emergency escape hoist. The reclamation bond
reduction request will need to be submitted in a separate technical revision.
Attached is the reclamation cost estimate for the emergency escape hoist at the Hubbard Creek vent shaft
site. The estimate is one task (task 281) and represents an increase in liability of $3,267.00.
Please inform the Division in writing whether or not this reclamation cost estimate is acceptable.
If you have any questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
rloseph J. )dash
Environmental Protection Specialist
Attachment
cc: Jim Stover P.E.
