~1 <br />Li <br /> <br />Conversation Record <br />1-4-93 with Terry Ireland, USFWS Grand Junction, CO <br />Subject: Salt Creek Mining Company's McClane Canyon Mine <br />The USFWS previously issued a Final Biological Opinion for the <br />McClane Canyon Mine on 4-16-92. 'The USFWS concurred with OSM's <br />determination that the annual water depletion from the Colorado <br />River ^may affect" the endangered Colorado squawfish <br />(Ptvchocheilus lucius), humpback chub (Gila cygh~a), bonytail chub <br />(Gila eleaans), and the razorback sucker (XVrauchen texanus). <br />The USFWS determined that the project was not likely to <br />jeopardize the continued existence of the endangered fishes if <br />the company made a contribution to the Recovery Smplementation <br />Program for Endangered Fishes of the Upper Colorado River Basin. <br />Mr. Ireland stated that no additional specie <br />been listed by the USFWS since the issuance <br />Opinion.
