As shown in Table N-9, the concentration of the mine water discharge and <br />sediment pond and gob pile leachate is less then the averages of SW-1 and SW-8 in <br />nearly every case. The exception is Copper, in which the mine/leachate average <br />exceeds the SW-8 average by 0.013 mg/L. The mine water and leachate enter East <br />Salt Creek at McClane Creek, below SW-1 and above the SW-8 monitoring points. As <br />shown in Table N-9, each metal concentration decreases from SW-1 to SW-8. It can <br />be postulated that the addition of the mine water and leachate reduce the metal <br />concentration in the waters of East Salt Creek.
