4-7
road was upgraded during exploration development, and approximately half acre of
disturbance is associated with the office complex.
Potable water storage tanks and a waste water treatment system are associated with
the office area. Potable water will be delivered to the mine to be used at the offices and
then added to the groundwater system via the septic tank and leach field. This minimal
addition will have no effect upon the quantity of water available in the groundwater
system when compared to the amount of water in the system.
The quality of the groundwater will show no appreciable change from the existing
quality. The potable water delivered to the mine will be used for showers and sanitary
facilities in the mine bathhouse. Water added to the alluvial aquifer after use will
probably be better quality than the groundwater in the area. (See Appendix N). Due to
the addition of a coal mine waste pile and associate facilities as part of TR-16 (2008),
another monitoring well was installed, GW-9, South and East of the new Office
Sediment pond.
TR-16 M`-Volume 1 (Rev 07/08)
