Russell Means indicates that you have a concern about wetlands delineation.
Please find Exhibit B (Site Map Topog), and Exhibit G-1 (Water Information). Notice on
Exhibit B that the Site is on a high gravel bench landform; it is very flat with no lowlands
that impound water.
Exhibit G-1 explains:
1. There are no Colorado water adjudications that are recorded in, or within 200
feet of the affected area;
2. There are no live streams on, or within 200 feet of the affected area;
3. There are no springs, stormwater diversions, or wetlands on, or within 200 feet of
the affected area;
4. The Smith Pit, complete with this Amendment No. 1, is not expected to directly
affect surface or groundwater systems.
I hope this response will satisfy your concern.
If you have questions please contact me.
FZ rt /Marvin Moore (Consultant for the Moffat County Road Department)
1570 Ranney St., Craig, CO 81625, (970) 824-9249
e-mail: marvinmoore1249kmsn.com
CC: Di ision of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
Grand Junction Field Office
101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301
Grand Junction, CO 81501
Attn: Russell Means
.LAVED
MAR,
GRAND JUNG I a4 MELD OFFICE
DIVISION OF
RECLAMATION MINING & SAFETY
