Ground water elevations in the vicinity of these wells were maintained below an <br />elevation of 8540 ft amsl to ensure ground water capture and prevent downgradient <br />migration of contaminates contained in the Rito Seco alluvial ground water system. <br />During 2008, BMRI withdrew one permit amendment (Amendment # 2) and submitted a <br />subsequent permit amendment (Amendment #3) proposing revised West Pit water <br />management techniques which used the West Pit water as irrigation water at the <br />downgradient Shalom Ranch.
