7.0 CONCLUSIONS ON THE PRESENCE OE' AN AVF
Based or. the findings of this investigation, an AVF is not present in the
Rapid and Cottonwood Creaks area. The surficial geology is comprised mostly
of poorly sorted and poorly rounded mudslide. or colluvial material.
Alluvial sediments present in the area are distributed sparse],y and could
not support agricultural activities. Subirrigation is present along a
narrow bard along Rapid Creek, but the land slope is too steep for
agricultural operations. Upland terrace deposits can be farmed, but orly
through the use of flood irrigation as evidenced by the lack of vegetatior.
