• SECTION 1 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />This report has been developed in order to <br />Herron's letter of June 1, 1982, to Bruno <br />Zimpfer's memorandum of June 3, 1982, both deali <br />valley floor (AVF) issues relative to the <br />operation. <br />Sufficient information is presented in this <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />respond to Jin <br />Redolfi and Jerry <br />~g with alluvial <br />Powderhorn mining <br />report for the <br />to make AVF <br />determinations on Cottonwood Creek, Rapid Creek, the Colorado <br />• River, and all other streams in the permit or adjacent area of <br />the Powderhorn Mine. The study area includes all of Cottonwood <br />and Rapid Creeks, the Colorado River from the confluence with <br />Rapid Creek to one-half mile below the lowest tributary draining <br />the life-of-mine permit area and all other unnamed streams which <br />maybe affected by the Powderhorn mining operation. The unnamed <br />streams that were investigated are ephemeral streams that may be <br />undermined. <br />\J <br />1 <br />
