• 5.0 PREVIODS REPORTS <br />A previous geotechnical investigation was performed in the <br />vicinity of the proposed refuse disposal piles by Rocky Mountain <br />Geotechnical in a report entitled "Stability Evaluation -Cameo <br />Mine Refuse Pile, Palisade, Colorado", dated October 24, 1980. <br />This report investigated the stability of a refuse pile at the <br />Cameo mine for GEX, Colorado, inc., which is now owned by <br />Powderhorn Coal Company. This original report tested the coal <br />refuse material in terms of its friction angle. Since the <br />waste material proposed for the new refuse pile has not been <br />changed, the shear test results were utilized from the previous <br />investigation for this new analysis. <br />• <br />• <br />9 <br />
