Snowcap Coal Company, Inc. has submitted an application to the Division of
Reclamation, Mining & Safety for approval of a postmining land use change for surface
disturbances located at the Roadside Mine. The postmining land use is to be changed
from fish & wildlife to cemmercia~ndustrial. As owner of a portion of the surface
property that will be affected by this application we are requesting that any comments
you have concerning the proposed postmining land use be submitted to us in writing
prior to December 31, 2006.
The enclosed drawing shows, in red, the area we are requesting be changed to
commercia~ndustrial use. The black hatched area is the affected surface property that
you own. Reclamation on your surface property will not change. The existing road will
be removed and reclaimed.
A copy of the permit revision application is available for inspection at the Mesa County
Clerk and Recorder's office, 544 Rood Ave., Grand Junction, CO, the Grand Junction
offices of the Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety at 101 South 3"', Suite 301,
Grand Junction, CO., or at the offices of J. E. Stover & Associates, Inc. at 2352 North
7~' Street, Grand Junction, CO.
