III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE

Processing Waste: - The refuse pile appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection. The pile was
well vegetated and no erosional problems were noted. The two small holes/depressions that appeared
on the refuse pile in 2007 were not visible at the time of the inspection.
Revegetation/Reclamation Success: -The portal areas,refuse pile and other mine areas were all well
vegetated and stable at the time of the inspection. The vast majority of the site was dry or muddy
(most of the snow has already melted). Due to the warm weather, the vegetation is already beginning
to turn green.
Overall the North Thompson Creek Mine is in very good condition. No problems were noted on the
site during the inspection. This concludes the 17 March 2009 inspection.
