/Wo/ <br />ecs <br />Rationale for Recommendation for Approval <br />Over Objections; Regular 112 Construction Materials Permit Amendment Application; <br />Aggregate Industries, Inc. <br />Riverview Resources Pit, File No. M-1999-098 <br />March 20, 2009 <br />Introduction <br />On March 20, 2009 the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety ("Division") issued its <br />recommendation for approval of a 112 Construction Materials Permit Amendment Application, over <br />objections. This document is intended to provide a basis for the Division's recommended approval <br />over various concerns and reasons for objection to the Riverview Resources Pit application, File No. <br />M-1999-098. <br />The Riverview Resources 112c permit amendment application was received by the Division on <br />November 3, 2008 and deemed complete and considered filed with the Division on November 11, <br />2008. The site is located approximately %2 mile west of the Town of Greeley near the intersection of <br />County Road 27 (83`d Ave) and County Road 67 ("O" Street) in Weld County, Colorado. The property <br />is located in Sections 29, 32 and 33 of Township 6 North, Range 66 West of the Sixth Principal <br />Meridian. The existing permit area is 340 acres - the proposed amendment would add another 156 <br />acres for a total permitted area of 496 acres. The proposed post-mined land uses for the site are <br />wildlife habitat and developed water resource. <br />1.
