4. Lake Discharge Vegetation Plan <br />The lake discharge channel that has been designed for the post-reclamation land use will be <br />drilled, seeded, and watered prior to the removal of the dewatering pump. The vegetation in the <br />channel will be placed at least one growing season before the lake is allowed to return to its <br />natural level to allow the grasses to take hold. Tri County Gravel has developed a seed mix that <br />should achieve dense mat formation within the channel. <br />Prairie Cordgrass 2 lbs/acre <br />Streambank Wheatgrass 3 lbs/acre <br />Intermediate Wheatgrass 3 lbs/acre <br />Western Wheatgrass 3 lbs/acre <br />Reed Canary Grass 3 lbs/acre <br />Fowl Blue Grass 1 lbs/acre <br />Redtop 0.5 lbs/acre <br />Total 15.5 lbs/acre <br />Tri County Technical Revision Sept 07 9
