L-lgaz.=o5& <br /> <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Twentymile Coal Company (TCC), 29515 Routt <br />County Road 27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, has <br />submitted an application for Technical Revision (TR) <br />of the Foidel Creek Mine, Permit Number C-82-056. <br />The revision (TR09-66) addresses construction, oper- <br />ation, and reclamation of the 18-Left Ventilation <br />Shaft Installation. <br />The mine permit area encompasses approximately <br />19,940 acres, located approximately 23 miles south- <br />west of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road <br />r ' .,.,¦¦ <br />33, and approximately 7.3 miles northwest of Oak <br />Creek on Routt County Road 27. Mine offices and <br />major surface facilities are located adjacent to Foidel <br />Creek, near the intersection of these two roads. The <br />mine permit area is covered by the Cow Creek, <br />Dunkley, Milner, Mount Hams, Oak Creek, and Rat- <br />tlesnake Butte USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle maps. <br />The lands affected by the proposed revision are lo- <br />cated in the NW/4SWIA, Section 23, TSN, R87W. <br />TCC controls the coal in this area, and has related <br />development fights for the surface, which is owned <br />by TCC, the State of Colorado, and Cross-Mountain <br />Ranch, LLC. The Mine Permit Area includes all or <br />portions of Sections 7 through 9, T4N, R86W; TSN, <br />R86W, except Sections 34 through 36; and Sections <br />13, 22 through 24, 25 through 27, and 34 through 36, <br />TSN, R87W. The ownership, precise location, and <br />boundaries of lands within the Permit are identified <br />on pages 2.03-13 through 2.08-18 and 2.03-22' and <br />2.03-23.1, and Map 1, of the Mine Permit Application <br />Package (PAP), and are included in this public notice <br />by reference. <br />Copies of the PAP, including the referenced Techni- <br />cal Revision application, (less confidential materiaq <br />are available for inspection at the mine office and the <br />office of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Min- <br />ing, and Safety. Box 773598 <br />Steamboat Springs, Colorado 80477 <br />Written comments or objections to the Technical Re- <br />vision application should be submitted to the State of <br />Colorado, Division of Reclamation, Mining, and <br />Safety (CDRMS), 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 within ten days of the <br />last date of publication of this notice. The proposed <br />activities would occur within 100 feet of the outside <br />right-of-way of Routt County Road 27, at a location <br />approximately 1.7 miles north of its intersection with <br />Routt County Road 37. A public hearing to deter- <br />mine whether the interests of the public and affected <br />landowners will be protected can be requested by <br />contacting the CDRMS in writing within 30 days after <br />the last publication of this notice.
