the situation in November. As the BLM surmised, the state was not wild
about an application on a previously adjudicated pond (ie: it has a valid
water right). So, on December 13th I was told that the Division of Water
Resources(on Dec. 12th- by Erin Light) had given approval for the pond to
remain and that we just needed to have the water right deeded to the BLM.
I left you a phone message on that day stating that the state had given the
okay for the pond and that we needed to switch the ownership. When you
called back, you indicated you weren't sure of the next step, and on
January 4th I then sent out a suggested water rights deed that our
specialist had prepared.....
So..... I think we just need to make sure that the "final" deed draft that
you sent to your chief in February is adequate. Once signed by both
parties, we will be done. We have had the solicitor's office do a title
opinion and we have the NEPA documents set, so we can proceed.
If you feel this information is incorrect, please let me know. I'm around
most of Monday as I skipped an out of town meeting. I will be in the field
the rest of the week, but always check messages and will reply either that
same evening or before heading out tthe next morning.
Hope you have a good day!
Paula
2
