III. EXHIBIT C - PREMINING PLAN AND AFFECTED LANDS
Exhibit C is intended to fulfill the requirements of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act
as outlined in the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the DRMS and the Board. Generally, the
required information relates to adjacent property ownership, the name and location of surface
features and structures within 200 feet of the boundaries of the affected land, existing
topography, the total area of mined and affected lands, vegetation and other soils and water
resource information as required by the DRMS.
Adjacent property ownership for the Parkdale Mine will be provided by Applegate Group, Inc.
The premining topography of the area is shown on Figure C-l, Premining Plan. Surface
features such as ephemeral drainages, roads, buildings, the active gravel mining operation, and
the new quarry mining limits are shown on the map of current conditions (i.e. "premining"
conditions with respect to this permit application). The total area within the limits of mining is
approximately 72.5 acres.
Surface drainages will be disrupted by the mining activities within the mining limits. Applegate
Group, Inc. will provide detailed environmental and water studies.
The type of vegetation present within the mining limits is generally characterized by grasslands
interspersed with scattered clusters of juniper, pmon, and cactus. Detailed vegetation
information will be provided by Applegate Group, Inc.
\\Secvec0l\common\PROJECTS\106052-000 Parkdale Mine Plan\R.
