Once <br />mined, these sections will be sloped to the original grade. Final grading will be no less <br />than a 4 to 1 slope. <br />The mined and sloped areas will be seeded using a seed drill in late fall to early spring. A <br />dry land pasture seed mix will be used. The seed mix will be distributed at 18 pounds per <br />acre. This mix includes Russian Wildrye, Crested Wheatgrass, Smooth Brome, Perennial <br />Ryegrass, Orchardgrass and Slender Wheatgrass. Expected germination rate is 85 to <br />90%. No fertilizing or watering will be done. No trees or shrubs exist in the affected area. <br />No trees or shrubs will be placed in the area after mining. <br />The original land use is pastureland. The affected area will be returned to pastureland <br />use after mining is completed. <br />The affected area is zoned AG Agriculture. Pastureland is an allowable and appropriate <br />land use in this zone. The Pre and Post-Mining land use as pasture land meets the <br />criteria of the Logan County Master Plan. Surrounding land is zoned AG agriculture and <br />is primarily used as pastureland.
