Whetstone Associates is in the process of preparing that report. Since
our meeting last November, we have installed and sampled downgradient monitoring well MW-
12 and performed an electrical conductivity survey of Ralston Creek. This information, along
with summaries of all available historical water quality data, will be provided in the EPP.
We are requesting a 30-day extension for the submission of the EPP, to allow sufficient time to
finalize the data compilation and allow Cotter Corporation sufficient time to review the
document. We understand DRMS's desire to receive the EPP and move toward Designated
Mining Operation (DMO) status for the Schwartzwalder, and will do our best to work with you
in this process.
Sincerely,
Whetstone Associates, Inc.
Susan A.
