Davidson:
t
'As per the request on your correspondence on July 19, 1977,
the following is submitted:
Special Use Permits will not be required for open pit gravel
mining operations which are non-conforming uses under the
current zoning regulations, so long as the operation does not
extend beyond the boundaries of the current site. Mining upon
a site currently occupied by an open pit gravel mining operation
is not an extension of a non-conforming use within the meaning
of Section 7.5 of the Weld County Zoning Resolution since it
is in the nature of such mining operations.to concentrate
activity on various portions within a site.
The property as referenced above is considered to have a non--`
conforming open pit gravel mining operation located thereon
and as a result is not required to obtain a Special Use Permit
from Weld County.
