unconfined surface flow from disturbed areas to the impounded area. If these
measures prove impractical for runoff occurring on other areas, temporary low earthen
berms will be constructed on the downslope side of the disturbed area to confine storm
water runoff.
Storm Water Permit
Because of the site's topographic setting and nature of the operation, the simple
control measures described above will effectively control runoff and it is anticipated
that there, will be no storm water discharge from disturbed areas. If a storm water
permit is required, the appropriate application will be submitted to the Water Quality
Control Division, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
Water Use and Water Rights
Water will be occasionally consumed in the operation for dust suppression as
necessary. Water for this use will be purchased from a municipal source and trucked
to the site when needed. If aggregate washing- is done in conjunction with the
manufacture of redi-mix concrete the water will most likely be obtained from ground
water. If so, a well permit application will be submitted to the Colorado Division of
Water Resources, and an application/augmentation plan submitted to Division No. 1
water court.
-14-
