-3-
Hours of Operation:
Site operations will not be conducted during winter months. When asphalt or concrete
batch equipment is onsite (in operation for County approved contracted work) hours of
operation will be Monday thru Saturday 6 am to 6 pm from late April-May thru October-
early November, depending on weather conditions and on the future contract work
requirements. With mine zoning rather than agriculture zoning at the site, any mining
operations and related screening/crushing equipment operations will be conducted during
daylight hours, Monday thru Saturday 6 am to 6 pm
Any truck hauling from the site for all purposes would be from 7 am through 6 pm
Monday through Saturday. The Saturday operation of any process equipments or hauling
activities for CDOT/Park County associated project work would be at the direction of the
CDOT and/or County Engineer directing any future specific projects requiring materials
from the site.
Trucking/hauling operations from the site on Saturdays is being requested for
local customer needs where trucking may be via local owner/operator and/or customer
owned or contracted haul trucks hauling materials for small volume projects such as
road/driveway, home or septic construction needs. Residential customers would then have
access on the weekend for small loads when they may have the free time. Local hauls of
this type may range from a single load up to several truck loads removed from the site/day
but will not be in excess of 2 trucks/hour or 20 trucks per 10 hour day.
The applicant hopes that the above comments may remove possible concerns about site
operations and future traffic and maintenance for PCR 59 that the Planning Commission
Board members and the BOCC may have. The applicant wishes to operate at the site in
accordance with all required permits and county requirements.
Please contact me via e-mail or at (719) 655-2709 if you require any additional
information or have any questions. Thank You.
Jegards,
ti
Timoth canlon
Geologist
