Computer requirements to use the DBMS document images CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and =W be installed on your computer in order I o use a DBMS imaging CD the feat time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase lie= be in the j? . A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. Thee CD will contain files with the.tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for.tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DRMS has determined that a program called "hfinView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your def llult.df viewer. DRMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". eons: 1. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autoruq which runs the QuickView setup program, has d w been copied to this CD. If the Autior m program does NOT work, you will need to mummy install the QuickView program. Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available ups request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.coms. The Permit t+lle document Images can be viewed In the reception area of the DBMS oAlee or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost coven the time and labor of making the CD. DRMS cannot provide computer related support.
