Mr. Allen Sorenson
March 6, 2009
You will notice that MRV did not bother to copy either my clients or my firm on this
Request. Luckily, we learned of these machinations only by happenstance.
Needless to say, we object to this "Request" in the strongest possible terms. Furthermore,
we would point out that under no circumstances can this Request be fairly characterized as a
genuine request for a mere "technical revision" of the existing permit; the changes sought can in
no way be considered as having only a "minor effect". Rather, it is nothing less than a full-blown
amendment since the proposed changes will clearly have a significant impact upon the project
permitted.
Consequently, my client would ask that you review all the relevant permit documents
lodged with your office and determine if this so-called "technical revision" can be conceivably
contemplated as lying within the scope of any of the permits now held by MRV, including its
prospecting permits.
In any event, as affected property owners, we would, and hereby do, request a full
hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board to review this matter.
Please advise us of any further proceedings on this matter. Your prompt attention will be
appreciated.
Sincerely,
1
/homas inch
TJF/amv
