Appendix A - Vegetation Sampling for Phase III Bond Release
Vegetative cover data collected along each transect was used to determine sample size adequacy. Sample
size adequacy for vegetative cover in 2005 was reached in each of the.four sampling units with 15
transects. Sample size adequacy for vegetative cover in 2006 was reached in both reclaimed areas and the
Rangeland Reference Area with 15 transects. The AVF Reference Area required 17 transects to achieve
sample adequacy. Refer to Table A-2 for a summarization of the 2005 and 2006 data.
