RE: Revegetation Report - Golden Eagle Mine (Permit Number C-18-013)
Dear Mr. Hernandez:
Attached are two copies of the revised Golden Eagle Revegetation Analysis Report
for the Golden Eagle Mine. The revisions relate to comments provided by the
Division in your December 21, 2007 letter to Mr. Ron Thompson. The information
provided below relates to the Summary items contained in your letter where changes
in the report were made.
1. The conversions for the 2006 production data are included in the text of the
report on pages A-10 to A-13 and in Tables A-18 to A-22.
2. The two separate t-test demonstrations requested by the Division are
included in the report on pages A-7 to A-10. Because both tests, using a
sample size of 15 and 90, resulted in rejection of the null hypothesis, the
reclamation of the rangeland area production can be considered successful
in 2005.
3. A discussion of the shrub component is included on page A-14 of the report
which indicates the approved shrub standard has been met.
4. All production tables have been modified to include dry weight calculations.
5. All undesirable species were removed from the statistical analysis as
described on pages A-8 and A-9 and as identified on production tables A-14
to A-22.
