Two Photos of Pikeview
(photos taken from Mac Shafer Dec 2, 2008 PowerPoint of slide)

7-1

Quarry floor as it appeared during winter of 2005/2006. Photo by Mac Shafer.
The quarry floor here was almost to the point of entering the Area H
overexcavation. TR-11 area is in the foreground. The Area H top elevation can
be judged from the elevation of the plant.
Quarry floor Dec 2 or 3, 2008 after slope failure. The near end of the pit is
clearly in Area H overexcavation; the far end is at or slightly below Area H
top elevation. It is hard to tell what percentage was open, but it may have
been between 25% and 40%. TR-11 is to the left, but outside frame.
