Cattany <br />Hayden, CO 81639 Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />Re: Yoast Mine (Permit No. C-94-082) <br />Technical Revision No. 39 - Adequacy Review <br />Dear Mr. Karo: <br />The Division of Reclamation Mining, and Safety (Division) has reviewed the above referenced <br />technical revision application materials submitted by Seneca Coal Company (SCC) for establishing <br />ground water points of compliance at the Yoast Mine. The Division has worked closely with SCC on <br />developing a plan for specific points of compliance in accordance with applicable Rule 4.05.13(1). <br />The Division concurs with SCC's overall plan for points of compliance at Yoast Mine and has minimal <br />comments regarding the revision application. <br />1. Figure i is not very legible and the point of compliance wells YSAL3 and GW-S70-A are <br />difficult to identify on the map. SCC had originally submitted a color copy of this figure in a <br />draft revision during the planning phases of this project. The color copy is preferable because <br />it clearly shows the alluvial drainages and the well numbers are more legible. Please resubmit <br />Figure 1 in color or more legible print. <br />2. There is a typographical error on page 15-1-3.
