potentially exposed ground water of 120 acres, the annual evaporation is 328.80 acre-feet.
The monthly distribution of these estimates is shown in the following table. The
reclamation plan provides that the pits will be lined after being mined. The lined pits will
not require replacement water and will be used for storage. There may be incidental
demand for water to establish vegetation on the site after lining is completed. However,
the ultimate demand for water will be zero. Dewatering will pump the ground water into
the seepage ditch at an estimated rate of 0.72 million gallons per day.

(4) Water will be supplied by three sources: shares of the Last Chance and Rural Ditch
Companies and credits from the Hayseed Ditch. VCI owns five shares of Last Chance
Ditch Company and four shares of Rural Ditch Company. The Hayseed Ditch credits
were quantified in Case No. 90CWI74. From April through October, water use at the
site will be replaced to the stream system using the historical consumptive use credits
from any of the three sources, and/or from storage. Additionally, junior water provided
under case 01 CW274 will be used as augmentation water in lieu of other sources to the
extent available. The monthly distribution of the historical consumptive use is shown in
the following table:
