Self-monitoring sampling by the permittee for compliance with the monitoring requirements specified above shall be
performed prior to entering Pond B for Outfal 1004.
If the permittee, using the approved analytical methods, monitors any parameter more frequently than required by this permit,
then the results of such monitoring shall be included in the calculation and reporting of the values required in the Discharge
Monitoring Report Form (DMRs) or other forms as required by the Division. Such increased frequency shall also be
indicated.
f. Oil and Grease Monitoring
For every outfall with oil and grease monitoring, in the event an oil sheen or floating oil is observed, a grab sample shall
be collected, analyzed, and reported on the appropriate DMR. In addition, corrective action shall be taken immediately
to mitigate the discharge of oil and grease. A description of the corrective action taken should be included with the
DMR.

2. Salinity Parameters
In order to obtain an indication of the quantity of Salinity, measured as total dissolved solids (TDS), being discharged from
the site the permittee shall monitor the wastewater effluent at the following frequencies:

Self-monitoring samples taken in compliance with the monitoring requirements specified above shall be taken at those
locations listed in Part I.B.1.
Where, based on a minimum of 5 samples, the permittee demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Division that the level of total
dissolved solids (TDS) in the effluent can be calculated based upon the level of electrical conductivity, the permittee may
measure and report TDS in terms of electrical conductivity.
3. Special Monitoring
a. Twelve Time Analysis - Outfal1006
In order to determine the quality of water discharged at this facility, the permittee is required to perform a twelve time
analysis for the following parameters at outfall 006. The first sampling shall occur during the first month after the permit
becomes effective, or when discharge commences, and sampling shall continue for the next eleven consecutive months.
If no discharge occurs during the month, sampling shall resume when discharge resumes and continue until twelve
samples have been collected and analyzed using approved methods with method detection limits as low or lower than
those specified in Part 1.E.3. of the permit.
A summary report in the form of a letter shall be submitted to the Permits Unit by October 31.2005. This report shall
include all individual sample results collected over the twelve month period. If sampling is incomplete because no
discharge occurred during part or all of the period, this shall be noted in the report. If sampling has not yet been
completed by this date, this twelve time analysis requirement shall continue until twelve samples have been collected and
analyzed and the results have been submitted to the Permits Unit.
