02/13/08
ANNUAL REPORT
EVERHART PIT
Permit No_ M-1997-081
The stockpiled material on site has been substantially depleted; however Pueblo County
will be crushing again in 2009 therefore the stockpiled areas will remain the same - they
will just be added to as the material is crushed. The map submitted with our 2006
report is still accurate as the stockpiled areas previously shown were just added to with
the new crushing. The material is used on an as-needed basis. Crushing is done under
contract and usually only lasts 2 weeks. The contractor is tasked with maintenance of
the pit during the crushing - including adherence with our stormwater plan requirements
plus requirements placed upon their equipment and operation. A project manager
reviews the crushing during the contract and a road and bridge foreman or team leader
is on the site during removal from the stockpiles to ensure property mining procedures
are adhered to. An inspector from the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
reviewed the pit in July of 2008 and there were no issues or violations noted.
Please note that this permit is held by Pueblo County therefore no financial warranty
has been required.
