Colorado Springs Utilities <br />It's how we're all connected <br />February 20, 2009 <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Dear Sir/Madam, <br />RE: M-1992-074, Clear Spring Ranch Gravel Pit No. 2 <br />Colorado Springs Utilities herein submits the 2008 annual report, on your standard form and the <br />attached Mining Plan map for the Clear Spring Ranch Gravel Pit No. 2 in accordance with Rule <br />1.15 of Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for 112 Permits. <br />All the required information is shown on the attached Mining Plan map. The annual fee of <br />$791.00 is also enclosed. <br />During the sixteenth year of operation, 0.219 acres have been affected in Phase 5. In 2009, <br />mining may be expanded in Phases 5 and 6. The total affected area is 22.719 acres, of which <br />about 9 acres are currently experiencing some mining activity. Reclamation has occurred in the <br />areas shown on the map. This represents approximately 3.99 acres, which has been top soiled, <br />fertilized and reseeded. Currently there are no plans to reclaim additional acreage in 2009. <br />We anticipate that the enclosed report and map meet your requirements.
